RACE REPORT: CDNW EVENT 5, BICKERSTAFFE RR

This week, it was back to the CDNW league for round 5 and the 4th women’s race in the series. The race was 10 laps on the Bickerstaffe circuit, an almost flat course on narrow, country roads in Lancashire. The narrow roads meant that the field was capped at 40 riders this time, rather than the usual 60 riders. We had a full team of 5 ladies racing: Alison, Amy, Natalie, Jess and myself.

The race was due to start at 12, meaning we could leave Otley at a much more reasonable time of 9am on Saturday morning. We were travelling as a team, like at Pimbo and Saighton, with support from team manager Neil and assistant team manager Nicky.
